30 years of the Proximus Art Collection
Proximus celebrates 30 years of art with the anniversary exhibition "Conversation Poem" at the iconic Hôtel des Douanes at Tour & Taxis.
Thirty years ago, Proximus started a contemporary art collection based on one clear vision: artists help us see the world differently. They inspire us. They make change visible. They challenge us to look at things with an open mind. Today, the collection includes more than 400 works by Belgian and international artists.
Art that sets dialogue in motion
To mark the 30th anniversary of the Proximus Art Collection, a selection of 150 works has been brought together in Conversation Poem. The exhibition explores how art can stimulate genuine dialogue. Between people. Between ideas. Between art and the public.
The exhibition shows how opposites such as white and black, active and receptive, culture and nature interact and complement each other. Not to erase each other, but to create something new. In this way, they keep each other in motion and in balance. Like two halves that together form a whole, dynamic, peaceful, and harmonious.

As a participant in a Korei Guided Tours tour, you do not need to register separately via the Proximus website. We will ensure that your place is automatically reserved.
You reach the main entrance of the Hotel des Douanes via Picardstraat 3 – entrance at the stairs (see the satellite photo in the image carousel for details).
The location is wheelchair accessible. Please inform us in advance of your visit. The entrance for people with reduced mobility is located in the middle of the building, on the Koninklijk Depot side (see the satellite photo in the image carousel for details).
Reservation, admission, and guide fees. We are exempt from VAT.

Extend your visit
A guided tour of the Conversation Poem exhibition can easily be combined with a visit to the Tour & Taxis site. This area served as a transport hub for five centuries. Initially, it was used by horses and carriages, which were replaced by trains during the 19th century. Visit the Royal Depot and the Gare Maritime to hear the full story of this evolving neighbourhood.
There are several restaurants where you can enjoy lunch or a cup of coffee to make it a day out.
